Introducing CODA

Those who study medicine, drugs, and others who fall into that category constantly read and research these topics. For the most part, this information is always accessible because it is vital to them, after reading the article “CODA: Integrating multi-level context-oriented directed associations for analysis of drug effects” by Hasun Yu1,2, Jinmyung Jung1,2, Seyeol Yoon1,2, Mijin Kwon1,2, Sunghwa Bae1,2, Soorin Yim1,2, Jaehyun Lee1,2, Seunghyun Kim1,2, Yeeok Kang3 & Doheon Lee1,2. This article wants readers to learn about their new network, which analyzes drug effects accurately and better. CODA is the network that is mentioned in this article. Essentially it is a more convent way to drug analysis, development of drugs, etc. They start by explaining the vast factor of drug development. Drug development takes a significant amount of money and effort. It typically takes around 15 years and $1 billion in US dollars, and more than 85 percent of medication proposals fail to get market approval. It is evident that it is an essential and challenging factor. As they introduced CODA, they thoroughly explained its greatness and strength. They have provided charts and graphs of results of how much better it is for drug analysis and to see it inside the human body.

The subject of this article falls into people who are either studying drugs or fascinated about it and possibly having a career in this type of field. And since many authors contributed to this article, you needed a lot of research and expertise in this field to publish an article like this. This article was published online on August 08th, 2022, but it was received on April 4th, 2022. The time between those months had to be looked over and be sure the information was accurate. All the data must be correct for those who study and research drugs because they need to perform or even prescribe certain medicines. Not knowing the side effects of certain medications can harm patients, etc. The setting of this was clear enough to be in a laboratory. Assuming all the results were coming from a lab and many experiments being held, you can suppose that was the primary setting of the article. These authors wanted to publish their network on how it is vital for drug analysis to the general public.  Since it was very dense and descriptive, I believe it can be targeted towards those in charge of drug research since they are the ones who would mainly make a decision. Also, the current scientist is developing drugs and researching them. The impact that was wanted from these authors was CODA being more talked about. Comparing current ones would show how it is better to research cures and develop them. It was informative and persuasive to contemporary scientists using old methods to build and analyze drugs. It can be helpful for the community for faster and more efficient ways to know about the side effects of the medicines a human body takes.
